Gabrielle Martin

Based in: Coast Salish Territories/Vancouver, British Columbia
Gabrielle Martin’s vocation is to produce performative work that challenges established systems of values through the truth of the body and the surreal. Gabrielle has a BFA in Contemporary Dance from Concordia University (2009) and is finishing her MA in Arts and Cultural Management from Rome Business School. From 2015-19, she performed as a principle character and aerial acrobat with Cirque du Soleil’s TORUK – The First Flight, and from 2011-15 as a dancer and aerial acrobat with Cavalia. Gabrielle is currently Festival Manager of the Vancouver International Dance Festival and a choreographer with the aerial dance company Ci.
