Helen Yung is an inter/transdisciplinary artist. She studied theatre production design with Astrid Janson at the UC Drama program (University of Toronto). She makes installations, interactions and interventions. She curates and designs environments, exhibitions, and performances (theatre, dance, digital, live art). In her work with newcomers to canada, Helen blends performance, conceptual art, and social R&D to transform conventional approaches to settlement, looking at what Art has to offer Immigration. Helen has received three Toronto Dora Theatre award nominations (Outstanding Scenic Design, Outstanding Lighting, and Outstanding Production). She has been invited to share and create work around the world, including Frankfurt, New York, Graz, Montreal, Syros, Buenos Aires, Banff, Charleville-Mezières, Marnay-sur-Seine, Sydney, and the bush of New South Wales.
